IPC IMPACT Washington, D.C. 2018

May 21 – 23 2018 – Washington, D.C.

IPC’s government relations efforts play a pivotal role in the success of the electronics manufacturing industry. And, IPC’s Government Relations team works year-round to educate government officials on the policy issues that affect our industry. Company executives are among our most effective advocates, and we need your voice.

IMPACT Washington, D.C. 2018 is a unique opportunity to join your industry peers and advocate on behalf of the electronics manufacturing industry for policy issues that can affect the way your company does business. During this two-and-a-half-day event you will:

  • Collaborate with industry executives who share your commitment to the industry;
  • Learn more about the policy issues we face and deliver research-based positions and solutions to the U.S. Government;
  • Speak with leaders in Congress and the Administration in support of our common priorities; and
  • Address your company’s concerns and personal experiences.

Your presence is needed in Washington, D.C. Hearing from constituents like you, whose businesses are affected by their decisions, can have a significant impact upon policymakers. The more executives we can rally, the stronger our voice will be and the more likely we will have a positive impact.
Whether you are new to policy advocacy or have some experience, the IPC Government Relations team will support you every step of the way.

Bob Neuroth’s Retirement

After a few years of anticipation and with mixed emotions, we are happy to announce that Bob Neuroth has retired after providing Ascentron with 15 years of devoted service.

Bob’s legacy in the electronics industry totaled 51 years, working at companies like OECO, ESI, Intel, Credence, and Tektronix, earning him a valuable reputation and knowledge base that will be greatly missed.

Before finding his niche in electronics, Bob served our country for 8 years in the Air Force as a Contracting Officer and Buyer. One of his favorite stories from his military service was when he was in charge of purchasing the main bunker door at the NORAD Cheyenne Mountain Complex, weighing 25 tons.

Before leaving Ascentron Bob pioneered our new bar-coding system that has streamlined many of our every-day processes. Although Bob is enjoying his retirement he still has an ownership interest in the company, is a member of our Board of Directors, and will be assisting us with some special projects going forward. We are thankful for his outstanding leadership and continued commitment to Ascentron.

Adopt-A-Family for Christmas

For the fourth year in a row Ascentron has participated in the Access Holiday Adoption Program.

This program is in place to support previous Access residents that do not have the resources available to provide their family with Christmas presents.

Once signed up to be a sponsor, Access sends over an adoption sheet listing the number of people in the family, age, sex, and their wish list.

We find that this is a great way to give back to the community while spreading the joy of Christmas, and look forward to doing it again next year.

Holiday Party

In December Ascentron held our annual holiday party at a new venue, the Inn at the Commons.

We had a great turnout, enjoyed delicious food, a fun photo booth, and danced the night away.

A few people were also lucky enough to win some awesome raffle prizes. Each year we look forward to giving back to our employees and all the hard work they do to keep Ascentron running.

The holiday party is also a nice way for people to mingle outside of our busy work environment and grow relationships that make Ascentron stronger as a family.
